Why choose us for your private commission
A private commission is a personal investment. Here's what working directly with us actually means for you.
Complete Manufacturing Oversight
From design through to final finishing, we manage every stage of your commission directly, coordinating our workshop and trusted partners to make sure quality and timeline stay in our hands throughout.
Gemstone Carving & Custom Cutting
Beyond standard faceting, we can carve, slice, and shape gemstones to order — a capability most jewellers simply don't offer.
Direct Access to Bangkok's Gem Trade
Based in Bangkok with 18+ years in the industry, we source gemstones and materials directly through the trading networks that supply the world's fine jewellery — not through intermediaries.
Free Zone Sourcing Advantage
Our workshop operates inside the Gemopolis Free Zone. This allows gemstones and materials for your commission to be imported into the zone without incurring Thai import duty or VAT while the piece is being manufactured — and, where required, the finished piece can be re-exported directly to you as the end client. This is a genuine cost advantage on larger stones and international commissions, though final duty treatment in your own country depends on local import rules, which we're happy to discuss.
Full Certification & Documentation
We work with independent gemological laboratories to certify diamonds and significant coloured gemstones, so your piece comes with documentation you can rely on.
Discretion & Secure Payment
Private commissions are handled confidentially from first enquiry to delivery, with Escrow.com available as a secure payment option for higher-value pieces.
Three ways to begin
Every commission is different. Select the option closest to your situation — you can always refine the details with us directly.
Best for a first-time commission with full creative freedom — you bring the inspiration, we handle CAD design, sourcing, and manufacturing from there.
The commission process
A typical private commission moves through five stages, from first conversation to delivery.

From design to finished piece
Every commission is designed, sourced, cast, set, and finished through our Bangkok workshop and trade network at Gemopolis Free Zone.
Gemstone carving & custom cutting
Most jewellers work only with stones as they arrive — faceted, calibrated, ready to set. We go further: gemstones can be carved as well as faceted, opening up shapes and presentations that simply aren't available off the shelf.
This includes natural gemstone slices and slabs, custom cabochons, hand-carved beads, and bespoke facet patterns cut specifically for a single commission — the same capability behind several of our Exclusive Pieces.

The list above covers the laboratories we work with most often, but if you'd prefer certification through a specific lab not shown here, just let us know when you enquire — we're happy to accommodate most reputable laboratories on request. Tell us about your piece
Share as much or as little as you have — a rough idea is enough to begin the conversation.
There's no obligation at this stage — this starts a conversation, not a commitment. We'll follow up with questions and, where useful, a rough estimate before any design work begins.
Frequently asked
Is there a minimum budget for a private commission?
Our commissions typically start from around $2,500, though this depends heavily on design complexity and materials. If you have a specific budget in mind, tell us in the form and we'll advise honestly on what's achievable.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes — once a design is approved, we require a deposit before sourcing materials and beginning manufacturing. The exact amount and payment schedule is confirmed in your written quote.
Can I use my own gemstones or gold?
Yes. This is common for redesign and heirloom commissions. We'll assess the condition and suitability of existing materials during consultation, and advise if anything needs supplementing.
What if I want to change the design after approving it?
Minor adjustments are usually possible before manufacturing begins. Changes requested after casting or setting has started may involve additional cost and time, which we'll always discuss with you first.
Do you offer secure payment for high-value commissions?
Yes — for larger commissions we can arrange payment via Escrow.com for added buyer protection. Ask about this when you enquire.
Can I visit the workshop in person?
Absolutely. We welcome consultations at our Gemopolis Free Zone workshop in Bangkok. Let us know if you'd like to arrange an in-person visit when you get in touch.
